    This is my choice for pizza at the Balboa Fun Zone area. It's the very first food spot you see coming off the ferry from Balboa Island. There's a great view of the bay, and the Ferris wheel, with windows all around. Has booth & bar with stool seating, so you have every option. And open 'til 9pm everyday.
    I always get their single slice pizza...it's pretty big...nice and thick with a crispy crust. It's all I need to get stuffed...and it's only $3 with an additional .45 charge per topping added...and there are a lot of toppings to choose from. But along with their specialty (pizza), they also serve salads, sandwiches, some Italian dishes, and fried zucchini!
    There's a ton of meter parking all around, but there's also a parking lot directly diagonal from it that's free after 6pm...before 6 though, you have to pay to park there. I usually park across the street in the residential area for free...cuz I just feel that parking anywhere at anytime should be free of charge...lol

    I love pizza.  I love good crust pizza.  The flavor is obviously important.  The crust is equally as important.

    I ordered crispy but  the crust was still soggy.  If you make pizzas you HAVE to know that the crust is extremely important.  The flavor is there but the crust is not.  

    I also paid $17 and there was no alcohol.  Way too expensive.

    On top of that I use a fork and knife to cut it up and it was plastic on a paper plate.  Not good.

    Definitely over charging customers with mediocre pizza and pasta.

    I ordered fettucine alfredo and a 12inch Maui style pizza.
    the total came out $28... this better be good...

    Once I had the dishes, the pasta was bland and it was super basic.
    It just had the pasta and base sauce.. nothing special.. just warm..

    I tried the 12 inch Maui, which they charged me $18...
    It was undercooked! hams were not cooked! over stuffed by cheese, which killed the flavor.

    Not impressed and not coming back.

    Only reason why it wasn't a 1 star?

    The male employee was nice and kind enough to serve our food.. customer service was 4 stars... Food quality and price was 1 star...

    Beware!!

    Great staff, pizza. The please Is great, will always recommend Azar's to anyone who wants great pizza with a great view of he harbor. The new owners are really maintaining great quality. Azar's is a no question 5 star pizza place

    This place is bomb. The owner and his nephews are laid back and make sure everything is as good as you want it. Great time and pizza!
